Peter Sloan started his career at Prudential life insurance company in 1982 in Morristown New Jersey and has over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry. After leaving Prudential Peter became the president of the life insurance division of an international Wall Street firm. In 1985 he formed a partnership in the insurance brokerage business offering products from John Hancock and Prudential.

In 1994 Peter was offered an opportunity to enter the stock brokerage business through Prudential securities in Manhattan passing his series 6 series 7 series 63 and series 65 examinations. Eventually, Peter established his own firm in New Jersey clearing through Walnut Street securities. In 2003 after passing the series 24 exam Peter became a registered principal through the former NASD.

In 2001 AIG offered Peter an opportunity to clear through their firm which he ran and managed for five years in New Jersey. Then in 2006, Peter saw the handwriting on the wall and determined that the stock market could be in for a correction and suggested to his clients that they move assets into fixed annuities which resulted in the preservation of over $50 million of retirement assets.

Today, Peter maintains a private client group of well over 500 clients and consults in areas of long-term retirement planning, estate planning, and life insurance.

In addition to Peter's experience in the financial services industry is also an author of several books under the pen name Peter Shatner. Peter is currently working on a book entitled: "America, how we Lost Capitalism."

Peter Sloan has been the host of several radio shows in his long career on ABC in New Jersey, and most recently CBS radio in Tampa, Florida.
